VAR Capital Dubai recently organised a lunch and a candid discussion with our founding client Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia. The topics centered around creating and leaving a legacy across generations. Mr. Ahluwalia emigrated to UK as a young Ugandan refugee and is best known as the founder of Euro Car Parts, which he built into the UK’s largest automotive parts distributor before its sale to LKQ Corporation in 2011. Since the sale of business, Sukhpal established Dominus Group, with interests spanning real estate, hospitality, and private equity. Dominus has become one of the UK’s most dynamic privately held groups, recognised for its long-term value creation and commitment to community impact. It has £2.5bn of projects under development.

 Over lunch, Sukhpal shared insights from his journey including scaling businesses from the ground up, investing in ventures, preserving and growing family wealth, and ensuring the engagement and education of the next generation in long-term legacies. The lunch provided an opportunity to interact with Sukhpal and ask him a range of questions client had.
